CREW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH - June
Litisha Cooper
Atlanta Crew Member Since: 2013 Birthday: June 21 I was Born in Columbia SC, raised in the small towns of Denmark SC and Kingstree SC. I moved to Atlanta after Graduation from Winthrop University in 19___... (smile) I also lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona and Irving, Texas years ago. I really hated and still hate washing dishes, Mom got us (my sister and brother) a table top dish washer in 1973...She was a l'il boojee... My very first job(s) were working at our family businesses, the Mets Motel and West End Barber Shop in Kingstree, in one capacity or another. My next job was as a High School Bus driver. My mother always jokes that I hated the job for the first 13 days. I had to get up too early, the clutch hurt my leg, the ice on the windshields in the morning, the loud kids, etc.. Then on the 14th day, when I got paid, I was happy and was introduced to my Love for SHOES! She said I never complained about THAT job again! Having the mind of an entrepreneur, I am always thinking of a new idea, business or plan. My hobbies include dabbling in real estate as investor, sales agent or landlord; planning events, website design, writing, walking and being with family and friends. If I could live anywhere, I'd definitely live by the Ocean or a large body of water (even though I can't swim). I'd enjoy a home on the Island of Turks and Caicos. I think that water is peaceful, I am always looking for a peaceful spot, a place to get off of the Merry-go-Round, and enjoy "the moment", "the sun" or "the wind". If I could change one major problem that faces our nation, I would focus on changing the direction of our youth. I think there is an epidemic of youth, young men specifically, who are in need of direction. I'd like to see our country (us) do a better job at educating our youth for success in this ever changing world and preparing them for the careers that are available to attain that success. Our prayer should be that our youth grow to Love themselves and others, and respect LIFE as the precious gift that it is, so that they can enjoy LIFE as the precious gift that it is. |
